Sex and the City was one of the most popular television shows with women in the history of cable series.
What started with the book by Candace Bushnell turned into the HBO series that ran from 1998 to 2004 and spawned two movies. The four main characters gave viewers someone to which to relate – Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Samantha Jones, and Miranda Hobbes. They remained friends through good and bad times and showed how friendships can persevere.
“No matter who broke your heart or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends.” — Carrie
“Maybe we can be each other’s soul mates, and then we can let men be just these great, nice guys to have fun with.” — Charlotte
“Friendships don’t magically last forth years, you have to invest in them.” — Carrie
“You shouldn’t have to sacrifice who you are just because somebody has a problem with it.” — Samantha
“The most exciting, challenging, and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.” — Carrie
“They say nothing lasts forever. Dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.” — Carrie
“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, woulda, shoulda; buckle up, and just keep going.” — Carrie
“After all, seasons change, so do cities; people come into your life and people go. But it’s comforting to know that the ones you love are always in your heart… and if you’re very lucky, a plane ride away.” — Carrie
“The most important thing in life is your family. There are days you love them and others you don’t. But, in the end, they’re the people you always come home to. Sometimes it’s the family you’re born into, and sometimes it’s the one you make for yourself.” — Carrie
